Wintel System Administrator
Skills Set
- This position requires a candidate with strong technical and communications skills that will allow them to directly support 1200+ Wintel servers within a four-state area.
- This position requires a strong background in the installation, modification and support of Windows Operating systems.
- This individual will have day-to-day responsibilities that include the installation, monitoring, optimizing, problem resolution, root cause analysis, management and documentation of all server related issues.
- This position will interface directly with customers and is responsible for communicating the technical information to all participants involved.
- Participation in an on-call rotation schedule and after hours work is a requirement.
- Key success factors include: the ability to learn quickly; the ability to troubleshoot a problem in a methodical manner; the ability to adhere to Change Management processes and the ability to work in a team environment. Some travel may be required.
- Participation in the Hurricane / Disaster Recovery plan is expected.
Exp : 4+ Years
Education : Bachelor's degree or four years experience in a related field.
Required Skills : Must demonstrate a complete understanding of Windows operating systems. Must also demonstrate the ability to perform problem analysis, logically organize and prepare technical documentation, and effectively communicate. Experience supporting enterprise wide Wintel environment, Intel hardware, and LAN/WAN connectivity issues in a distributed environment.
Desired Skills : DELL OpenManage, DELL IT Assistant, HP Insight Manager, VMware, Microsoft Operations Manager, Symantec Anti-virus, Legato, Veritas Storage Foundation, Scripting capabilities, Change Management processes.
