Position : Petrotechnical Regional Data
Manager Background :
The Petrotechnical Global Data Management team consists of
professionals who support the design, development, operation,
administration and use of all geological, geophysical and engineering
data and databases. Teams are divided between onsite, near-site and
regional support centers.
Job Description :
The Regional Data Manager directly supports the Business Unit and works
with appropriate parties such as the Business Information Manager, the
regional Data Management team and BU technical staff to identify and
implement data management strategy and resolve data-related and data
management issues. Works with technical staff to identify, document and
optimize data management processes that result in consistent application
of sub-surface data systems across the Business. Serves as Business Unit’s
resident expert in understanding the relationship of petrotechnical data
to the various business processes. Works with Business Unit technical
staff to identify and implement data security and entitlement
requirements. Develops and maintains contacts within and outside of the
Business Unit to promote knowledge sharing and awareness of best
practices. Facilitates data ownership and development of QC processes
within the Business Unit. Assists users on an individual and/or team
basis with routine data issues and problems. May define and assist in
sourcing / managing special data management projects. Provides guidance
to less experienced staff and may directly lead staff. Must be a
self-starter and able to work independently.
Will require travel up to 50% during peak periods of activity.
Education : Computer Science, Geo-Science or related degree with
7+ years experience.
Required Skills :
Knowledge and experience of oil industry development and production
geoscience environments with emphasis in data management using
mainstream geophysical, geological and/or petroleum engineering /
reservoir characterization applications; good understanding of
relational database technology; good UNIX and PC skills. Strong
interpersonal skills are also required for interfacing with internal
customers and vendor representatives. Good facilitation and presentation
skills required for interaction with senior technical and business unit
management personnel.
Desired Skills :
Experience with successful implementation of geoscience data ownership
and QC in an operating environment; familiarity with managing large
volume of data and/or real-time data; project management experience;
document management experience.
Position : Sr. Telecommunications Project
Manager Job Description :
The Project Manager will be responsible for working with prime
construction manager and the Omani end-customer to design, deploy and
maintain wireless infrastructure in support of Omani oil filed
operations. The Project Manager will lead the team in the RF and network
design and perform overall project management of the project including
installation, commissioning and maintenance. During some of the design
phase and most of the deployment phase the work will be performed in
Oman. This individual will be skilled in managing telecommunication and
network design and installation projects.
10 - 15 years experience in managing telecommunication and/or
network design and installation projects.
3 to 5 years experience involvement with infrastructure projects
in the Oil and Gas Industry.
International project management experience.
Sigficant experience planning, of design and execution of network
implementation in the Oil and Gas Upstreama and Down Stream
environments.
Knowledge & experience working with standard networking
equipment for Local and Wide Area Networks.
Understanding of networking and infrastructure operations
Ability to multi-task multiple project priorities and assignments
as well as coordination duties of third parties and other
infrastructure support groups in an effective manner
Solid verbal & written communication skills to effectively
communicate with the business on requirements, time-lines, and
implementation targets
Desirable Skill :
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience
overseeing the work of subcontractors or remote staff.
